Did someone say Guilt-free denim??
Yes ma’am! Today we’re introducing you to a sustainable denim brand, Porter Blue Apparel, whose unique manufacturing processes produce denim that is kinder to the environment.
Did you know the denim industry has one of the worst ethical and environmental footprints in fashion?? Not only does the dye pollute our waterways (the indigo dye has actually turned Chinese rivers blue!) but excessive amounts of water are used in the manufacturing process and statistically millions of tonnes of jeans are discarded annually.
Gah!
How is Porter Blue Denim different?
wastewater treatment
vegan labels
Eco-Friendly packaging
Post consumer recycled hardware
Ethical manufacturing processes
Sustainable raw materials
To learn more about each of those aspects, jump over to the Porter Blue website, here.
I am wearing the following styles in these pictures, take a look:
1. Rebel High Rise Straight in Mabel Wash (SUPER COMFY!!!)
2. Wanderer High Rise Flare in Gracie Wash
3. Wanderer High Rise Flare in Rinse Wash
Shot in and around Gosford CBD
PS, for anyone wanting to learn more about where to shop sustainable clothing, you can use apps like Good On You, which rates brands based on their enviro mental impact, as well as their labour and animal welfare practices. Just keep in mind that these apps trust that brands are being fully transparent about their practices in the first place ;) but it’s a great place to start
Please enjoy these photos of me. Taken by Coast.
